Where are you from: Clitheroe, Lancashire.
What was your first ever job?
As a Saturday girl in my aunties department store (Dawsons) They started me off as chief shelf duster before moving me into stock control, stock rotation and finally on the till – in sales!! Where my love of sales began, as an eager 14-year-old 😊

Head of sales and business development

How do you describe your role to your friends?
I sell (ethically and environmentally approved) burnt wood
What is the least rewarding part of your role?
Nothing! I absolutely love my job – no day is ever the same
What’s the best part of your role?
The variety, the team – peoples work ethic and flexibility to their role. I love being part of a growing and successful company who put the customer at the heart of everything we do. It’s a privately owned firm which allows for quick decision making and autonomy within your role
If you could switch roles with anyone at Rectella, who would it be?
Design – I’d get to colour in for the day (this is a joke Steve, Simon and Chloe!!)

What is on your wish list for the next 10 years at Rectella?
Continued brand growth, reduced plastic usage and a happy, healthy workforce

What is your proudest moment at Rectella?
When we became the World’s First supplier of Fairly Traded Charcoal – being involved in a project that allows us to change the lives of others is a very humbling experience. Watching the project evolve and the difference it made to our workforce in Namibia is amazing and fills me with immense pride.
