A great multi use bbq that you can one do a quick burger or sausage with one day and the next a full 6-8hr slow cook pulled pork or brisket well worth the outlay to see whats involved without wasting money on others.

This was a 6hr burn but could have gone as long as needed, adding 6 briqs each hour with a nice stable temp – 130•C Plus – see [url=]

One point to note , I don’t know if its just my temp gauge but there was a major difference between what it said on the gauge and what it really was on my digital thermometer. So I ignored what my gauge was say and relied on my digital thermometer.

Yes it needs calibrating, see below tip – but it did hold temperature over the 6hrs at between 115-125 superbly. No need to buy an expensive WSM type, this smoker does the job just fine!! 5 stars.

You can if yours is out roughly calibrate the gauge by rotating the nut on the reverse to point the needle correctly – ether use the digital readout and move the needle to match – or rest the back plate over a pan of boiling water holding the gauge with tongs or pliers adjust the needle as needed, if you’re doing this it should then be pointing to 100°C.

See image at room temperature its in line with the F on the gauge, as a starting point.
